ChromaVue – Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about using ChromaVue, managing your subscription, and getting set up as an individual or clinic.

Q: What is ChromaVue?

ChromaVue is a personalized color discrimination training and monitoring platform. It measures your color vision, recommends a treatment profile, and guides you through structured sessions that are designed to improve your ability to distinguish colors over time.

For clinics and schools, ChromaVue also includes an administrator portal to manage seats, assign licenses, and track participant engagement.

Q: How do I get started as an individual?

1. Visit the Get Started page and choose the Individual plan.

2. Complete the Stripe checkout. When your payment succeeds, you'll receive an email containing your ChromaVue license key.

3. Go to the Sign Up page, enter the email you used at checkout, your license key, and choose a password.

4. After signup, you can log in with your email and password to access your ChromaVue dashboard and begin treatment.

Q: How do I reset my password?

Click on the Forgot Password? link and follow the steps:

  • Enter the email address associated with your ChromaVue account.
  • If an account exists for that email, you'll receive a reset link via email.
  • Open the link, set a new password, and then log in with your updated credentials.
Q: I purchased a subscription, but I never got my license email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or promotions folder for an email from ChromaVue or from the address configured as your license sender.

If you still don't see it after a few minutes, you can:

  • Confirm the email address you used during checkout.
  • Wait a few minutes in case of email delays.
  • Contact support with your name and the email used at checkout so we can re-send the license.
Q: How do clinics and schools use ChromaVue?

Clinics and schools subscribe to a seat-based plan via the Get Started page using the Clinic option.

After checkout, the clinic receives a unique Clinic ID (UUID) by email. That ID is used to set up the clinic administrator account and unlock the provider console.

From the provider console, clinic admins can:

  • Manage seats and licenses.
  • Invite additional clinic admins who can also manage seats and member logins.
  • Assign licenses to individual patients or students.
Q: How do I access the clinic portal / provider console?

If you are a clinic or school administrator, you will receive a Clinic ID and instructions by email after subscribing.

Use your Clinic ID during the clinic setup flow to create your admin login. Once created, you can log in to the provider console from the standard login page using the email and password you chose.

Within the provider console, you can view your clinic ID, manage billing, manage seats, and invite additional admins.

Q: What's the difference between Individual and Clinic pricing?

Individual: A single-user subscription intended for one person using ChromaVue on their own device. You receive one license key that is tied to your account.

Clinic / School: A seat-based subscription for organizations that want to administer ChromaVue to multiple patients or students. Clinics receive a Clinic ID and a pool of licenses equal to the number of seats purchased.

Q: How long does a typical ChromaVue session take?

A standard treatment session is designed to be completed in about 30 minutes. The session timer pauses automatically if there is no interaction, so breaks are built-in without disrupting your overall progress.

Over time, multiple sessions can be used to track changes in your color discrimination and refine your treatment profile.

Q: What devices and browsers are supported?

ChromaVue is designed for modern desktop and laptop systems with a calibrated display. For best results:

  • Use the latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  • Avoid devices with aggressive color filtering or night-mode / blue-light filters enabled.
  • Complete the built-in calibration steps where available before beginning treatment.
Q: I am a clinic admin. How do I invite another admin?

From within the clinic provider console, scroll to the Clinic Admins section.

  • Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
  • Click Invite admin.
  • They'll receive an email with a link to set their password. Once completed, they can log in and manage the same licenses and logins as you.
Q: How do I cancel or update my subscription?

From your dashboard, click the Manage Billing button. This opens the secure Stripe billing portal, where you can:

  • Update your payment method.
  • Change your plan or seat count (for clinics).
  • Cancel your subscription.
  • View past invoices and receipts.
Q: What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel your subscription, your access to active treatment sessions and new reports will be disabled once the current billing period ends.

De-identified test and treatment data may be retained for aggregate analysis and performance tracking. Personally identifiable data is handled according to ChromaVue's data retention and privacy policies.

If you have specific data removal needs, please contact support with the email address associated with your account.
